What Is Osteopathy?

Osteopathy is a manual therapy used to treat musculo-skeletal dysfunctions, in humans and in animals. The aim of Osteopathy is to promote optimal health and remove barriers to healing by ensuring that the physical structure of the body (mainly the muscles, joints, nerves and internal organs) is in its best possible condition. This enables the body to heal it-self. It can be used as a natural form of pain relief.

In my clinic I use a range of traditional techniques including mobilisation, articulation, soft tissue work (Like deep massage), and manipulation (If nessesary). I also treat using cranial techniques which are very gentle yet can be very effective. Cranial Osteopathic techniques are applyable to bone, muscle, fascia, tendons, ligaments, and organs.

I run a small friendly country practice on the Worcestershire / Shropshire / Herefordshire border. This is my base for treating my human and equine patients. I generally do home visits to horses during the day, and humans in my clinic in the evenings from 7pm onwards. I am also available on Saturday mornings. Further details regarding fees and times are available below.

Please note that for urgent queries a phone call will ensure a faster response. Fees £40 for the first consultations and £30 for subsequent treatments. Initial consultations include a discussion of your problem, as well as treatment and advice. Home visits are available at a price of £60 first consultation and £45 for subsequent treatments. 

Please note that thorough assessment and treatment may require you to partially undress, possibly to your underwear. Please dress comfortably, wearing shorts if you wish, and note that your wishes in regards to modesty will always be respected.
